why calling a gin Grifu? Easy when in Sardinia you have more than 200 exemplars of griffon vulture and there is a local legend of a smuggler that used to distil illegally many years ago and was nicknamed by the police Griffon because his nose was so big that would recall the griffon beak! This Grifu ages in Sardinian chestnut barrels which provide the perfect balance between citrusy and richly scents of wild herbs from Sardinia and the spiciness and softness of the chestnut. Old and gold!
